I resumed lifting 4 months ago after a three year hiatus due to a severe accident. I was definitely having trouble making progress at the gym. It was frustrating to have lost so much strength due to attrition and the slow progress of getting it back despite 4-6 structured workouts a week. I did not load. I simply started taking 5mg/day of creatine and within a couple of weeks I had noticeable gains in strength. Bench press went from sets of shaky 185 to solid 255. I was benching 285 before the accident and I feel like I will be back to that in another few weeks. Getting back to the gym and getting some help from creatine has really been great for my physical and mental well-being. After 4 weeks on creatine with no change to diet, I did gain 7-8 pounds of water weight before weight plateaued (from 184# to 191#). It will be interesting to see if how that mass changes as I keep up with the routine. I intend to continue using this product.
